Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about our house clearances, estate clearances and the purchase of antiques, brocante and resalable contents.

What exactly does a house clearance involve?

During a house clearance we empty a home, apartment or service flat completely or partially. We sort the contents, load and transport the goods and ensure the correct disposal of whatever is not kept or sold. Afterwards we hand over the home swept clean. You do not have to do anything: we take care of the entire process.

When is a house or estate clearance needed?

A house clearance may be needed after a bereavement, when moving to a care home or service flat, when moving house, selling a home or in other situations where a home has to be emptied fully or partially. We work for private individuals and families as well as for notaries, estate agents and care homes.

Do I have to sort or set items aside beforehand?

No. You do not have to sort or set anything aside in advance. We assess and sort the contents on site. Goods that you or your family wish to keep are set aside in consultation. Resalable goods can, after assessment, be taken over by us and the remaining goods are disposed of correctly.

Do you also buy goods from the contents?

Yes. We buy resalable furniture, antiques, brocante, vintage, design and collections. During a clearance the purchase price can be offset against the clearance costs.

How do you determine the value of the goods?

We assess the goods on condition, quality, resalability and market value. On that basis we make a no-obligation price proposal.

What happens to goods that are not resalable?

These are sorted and disposed of correctly. After the clearance we hand over the home swept clean.

Which region are you active in?

We are active in the Kempen, the province of Antwerp and throughout Flanders. For larger assignments we travel elsewhere in Belgium as well.

Do you work with notaries and estate agents?

Certainly. We are often engaged by notaries, estate agents and families to empty an estate or a home for sale discreetly and correctly. Discretion and a tidy handling come first for us.

How quickly can a home be emptied?

That depends on the size and contents of the home. In many cases we can act quickly. Feel free to get in touch and we will look together at what is feasible and plan a time that suits you.

What does a house clearance cost?

The price depends on the size of the home and on what needs to be done. If there are valuable pieces of interest to us, we offset them in your favour. You receive a clear, no-obligation proposal in advance, with no surprises afterwards.

Do you hand over the home swept clean?

Yes. After the clearance we leave the home swept clean, ready for sale, rental or transfer.
